Re-engineering a $200 Billion Proprietary Portfolio Desk of a top-5 U.S. bank
Advised executive committee representing Balance Sheet Management, Compliance and Risk, Treasury Operations, Corporate Finance and Treasury Technology. Oversaw business process reengineering and automation of Portfolio Management, Trading and Settlement processing for domestic and foreign fixed income, interest rate and credit derivative, fx and equity transactions. Performed 3 year budget forecasts for $30 million front/middle office and $10 million back office projects. Created RFPs for front, middle and back office systems and oversaw business evaluation and selection of vendors. Assisted in contract creation and negotiation.
Fixed income electronic
trading using FIX for a top-5 mutual fund manager
Scope of work included data mapping between internal data elements
and FIX data elements, documenting business and workflow requirements,
proposing e-trading workflow, working with developers on design,
implementation and integration of e-trading related components,
FIX connectivity testing and certification with trading counterparties
involved. In the initial phase the securities covered were Treasuries,
CPs, Agencies and Munis. The e-trading workflow included notice
of executions, allocation and confirmation, and order initiation.
Fixed income post-trade processing for a top-5 global broker/dealer
Worked with the client connectivity group to establish workflows for electronic post trade processing of buyside fixed income order. Provided guidance to architecture team for creating next generation platform for confirming, allocating and settling fixed income orders. Designed electronic survey of buyside customers to evaluate anticipated use of FIX protocol for pre-trade, order and post-trade processing of fixed income orders.
Investment due diligence for a leading venture capital firm.
Performed technical due diligence on behalf of the venture capital firm for a $5 million initial investment in a provider of instant messaging based electronic trading systems. Due diligence included review of current and planned architecture, adherence to software development lifecycle standards and code reviews. Also reviewed license agreements for third-party components of main product.

implementation for a leading order routing service provider
Assisted several clients' network engineering teams with network
acquisition and connectivity, including network capacity planning
to meet clients' current and future needs for electronic trading.
Included was installation of network encryption devices, testing
of connectivity and end-to-end application testing through the encrypted
network setup. Managed hardware upgrade of an order routing applications
core system and migration of clients to new platform.
